Mental Health Skill-Building (MHSB) — Referral Assessment

Service Description

WISE Enterprise Inc. provides Mental Health Skill-Building (MHSB) services in Virginia, authorized under the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). MHSB supports adults (18+) with serious mental illness (SMI) in developing daily living skills, coping strategies, and the ability to function independently in the community. Services are provided in the client's home or natural community setting. SERVICES INCLUDE: • Daily living skills development (budgeting, self-care, meal planning) • Symptom management and coping skill building • Community integration and social skills • Crisis prevention and relapse awareness • Coordination with psychiatrists, CSBs, and case managers ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (per DMAS): • Must be age 18 or older • Must have a DSM-5 serious mental illness diagnosis • Must be enrolled in Medicaid • Must have a functional impairment requiring skill-building support • Referral required from a licensed mental health professional, physician, or CSB NO COST TO CLIENT — Services are billed directly to Medicaid.
